Recruitment support

A clear conversation, a useful next step

Bridge & Talent’s recruitment approach starts with listening: what an employer needs from a role, what a candidate brings, and what matters to both sides. Use the guidance below to prepare your brief, focus your questions and make the first conversation useful.

For candidates

Keep your CV focused on relevant experience and the roles you want to pursue. Share accurate contact information, availability and practical requirements. A useful conversation covers the role, selection process and questions you need answered before deciding.

For employers

Prepare a role brief with responsibilities, salary, location, working arrangements and essential skills. Clarify who will make the decision and how feedback will be handled. That context supports a consistent process and useful candidate conversations.

Working with care

  • Use clear role criteria and relevant information.
  • Explain the next step and the details still to be agreed.
  • Keep personal information within the appropriate recruitment process.
  • Avoid unsupported promises about timing or results.

Prepare a CV that explains your contribution

Make the relevant experience easy to find. Use clear job titles, dates and short examples of what you did. Explain the tools, responsibilities or working environments that connect to the role you want. Where you include outcomes, use figures you can support rather than broad claims.

  • Put your most relevant and recent experience where a reader can find it quickly.
  • Describe a career change or gap plainly when it helps explain your next step.
  • Check contact details, document formatting and file names before uploading.
  • Leave out information that is unnecessary for the recruitment conversation.

Use interviews to understand the opportunity

Read the vacancy carefully and prepare examples that show how you approach the work. Explain your own part in a project, the choices you made and what you learned. Bring questions about priorities, the team and the selection process so you can assess the opportunity as well.

If you need an adjustment for a recruitment conversation, raise the practical requirement with the relevant contact. You do not need to put unnecessary sensitive information into a public enquiry.

Questions about your next step

Do I need to apply to every vacancy?

Focus on roles whose duties, location and working arrangements fit your experience and priorities. A thoughtful supporting note is more useful than a generic application to an unrelated role.

What happens after I apply?

Your submitted application appears in your account. The hiring employer or Bridge & Talent team can review it and update its status. Submitting an application does not guarantee an interview or an offer.
